CARL DAVID TURNER Carl David Turner, Jr., 58, of Kansas City, MO formerly of Lexington, MO passed away Friday, August 13, 2010 at University of Kansas Medical Center. Carl David Turner, Jr. was born July 27, 1952 in Lexington, MO the son of Carl David Turner, Sr. and Floretta Mae Mady Turner. He married Donna Sherise Walters on June 30, 2000 in Kansas City, MO. Mr. Turner was a Child Services Officer with the Division of Social Services. He was a member of the Second Baptist Church in Lexington and active with the Red Cross. He was a Navy Veteran of the Vietnam War and then joined the Army Reserves, from which he retired. Surviving is his wife, Donna Turner of the home. Three children: Derrick Turner, Rochester, MN, Naquita Dorsey, Grandview, MO, Isiah Miller, Lexington, MO; three step-children: Steven Turner, Jr., Odessa, MO, Andre Turner, Independence, MO and Latoya Turner, Kansas City, MO. Three sisters: Diane Randolph, Lexington, Stephanie Turner, Las Vegas, NV, and Denise Robinson, Kansas City, MO. There are 16 grandchildren. Preceding him in death were his parents and two brothers, Elroy Turner and Lawrence Mady. Services will be 1 p.m., Friday, August 20, 2010 at the Second Baptist Church in Lexington. Burial in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery, Higginsville, MO. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Friday at the church. Memorials may be made to the family.
