Byron Dane Tretter, 77, of Lexington, Missouri passed away Wednesday, July 26, 2023, surrounded by his family at his residence.
Byron’s family will hold a private inurnment at a later date.

Byron was born February 11, 1946, to George and Edith (Goodloe) Tretter. Byron graduated from Lexington High school in 1964. He served in the Army National Guard. Byron worked as a farmer and for MFA incorporated for many years. On March 18, 1967, he was united in marriage to Vicky (Hufford) Tretter Lexington, Missouri. She preceded him in death. Byron was a member of the Presbyterian Church in Lexington, MO. Byron’s passion was farming, you could always find him out in the garden. Along with spending time with family, Byron enjoyed his goats and watching old westerns.
Byron is survived by his significant other, Debbie Hatfield; three children, Rad (Shannon) Tretter of Lexington, MO, Melissa (Bruce) Eckhoff of Concordia, MO, Nathan Tretter of Higginsville, MO, five grandchildren; Zachary Tretter, Matthew(Portia) Tretter, Paige (Isaac) Elliott, Hailey Tretter, and Graydon Tretter; two great grandchildren; Jaxxon Tretter and Xena Marie Roberson, two sisters; Lynn Leach of Higginsville, MO and Karmel (Rick) Pierce of Glasgow, MO, and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
