Bruce Wayne Rains, 72 of Lexington, Missouri passed away on Monday, February 17, 2025, at home surrounded by his loving family.

 

Per Bruce’s wishes cremation with no services at this time. Memorials are suggested to the family in care of Nona Rains. Bruce was born on January 16, 1953, in St. Louis, MO to George F. and Vesta V. (Hibbert) Rains. After graduating high school, Bruce attended culinary school. Bruce was well known for his great cooking skills, and he worked many years at Riley’s Irish Pub in Lexington. On June 28, 2008, Bruce was united in marriage to Nona Clay in Lexington. In addition to spending time with family and friends, Bruce enjoyed fishing.

 

Bruce is survived by his loving wife, Nona Rains; two stepchildren, Shanna Young of Lexington, MO and Michael (Patty) Looney of Odessa, MO; six step grandchildren, Makaela Young, Makenna Young, Ryder Young, Christen Eaton, Tasha Eaton, and Teddy Evans; a brother, Gilbert Rains of O’Fallon, MO; a niece, Sara Steele of Higginsville, MO and many more nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. 

 

Bruce was preceded in death by his parents.
