Brian James Wolkey, 39, of Odessa, Missouri passed away on Saturday, January 2, 2016 at the St. Mary’s Medical Center in Blue Springs, MO.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Friday, January, 8, 2016 at the Ralph O. Jones Funeral Home, 306 S. 2nd St., Odessa, MO 64076, 816-633-5524. Brian was born on August 10, 1976 in Independence, MO. He was a 1995 graduate of Odessa High School. Brian was an All-State Lineman for the Odessa High School 1994 State Championship Football Team. For the past 12 years Brian worked as a Salesman for Highway Trailer Sales in Kansas City, MO. On December 15, 2012 he married Kelina “Kellie” (Winter) Wolkey in Independence, MO. He helped revive Little League Football in Odessa. Brian helped coach all of the Little League Sports activities. In addition to spending time with his family and friends, Brian enjoyed hunting, fishing and anything MoPar. Most of all Brian was known as a loving son, husband, father, and friend to all that knew him.
Brian is survived by his parents, Louis Virgil Cutbirth, Jr. and Shelia Lee (Todd) Cutbirth, of Odessa, MO; his wife, Kellie Wolkey, of Odessa, MO; three children, Kalli Wolkey, Kane Wolkey and Saedi Wolkey, all of Odessa, MO; a brother, Benjamin Wolkey of Kansas City, MO; a nephew, Tyler Wolkey of Independence, MO; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
