Bonnie E. Best, 88, Lexington, MO passed away Thursday, January 7, 2016 at Riverbend Heights Care Center in Lexington. Services will be 2 p.m., Tuesday, January 12, 2016 at the Walker-Nadler-Fuller Funeral Home, Lexington. (660) 259-2245. Burial in Lexington Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until service time on Tuesday. Memorials may be made to the Lexington United Methodist Church or First Bible Baptist Church in Blue Springs Building Fund.
Bonnie E. Nichols was born September 20, 1927 in Carthage, MO, to Gilbert and Ruby Rippeto Nichols. She married Kenneth A. Best, Sr. on October 21, 1949. Bonnie retired from Lake City Munitions Plant where she was a secretary in the insurance department.. She was a member of the Lexington United Methodist Church, a long-time member of the Women of the Moose, a member of Sweet Adelines, sang in the church choir, and collected Precious Moments figurines.
Bonnie is survived by her son, Steven Best and wife, Donna, of Grain Valley, MO, a sister, Alice Woestman and husband, Gene, Winchester, KY, three grandchildren, Heather Hay, Megan Best, and Cody Best, a great-granddaughter, Evelynn Hay, and a brother-in-law, Wayne Wickstrom. Bonnie was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth, on September 17, 2002, a son, Kenneth Best, Jr., five brothers, Floyd, Ray, Emil, Elmo, and Paul, and a sister, Martha Wickstrom.
