Betty Jean Wright

Betty Jean (Evert) Wright, 93 of Odessa, Missouri formerly of Concordia passed away Sunday, February 5, 2023, at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Blue Springs, MO.

A visitation will be held from 10:00a.m. to 11:00a.m., Friday, February 10, 2023 at the New Horizon Presbyterian Church. 4266 MO-131, Odessa, MO 64076. A funeral service will follow on Friday, February 10, 2023, at the church. Interment will be in the Odessa Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the New Horizon Presbyterian Church or American Lung Association. Betty was born January 20, 1930, in Concordia, MO to Walter Louis Evert and Lily Christina (Meyer) Graf. Betty graduated from Concordia High School in 1948. She worked at Lake City Ammunitions Plant as a factory worker for 32 years.  Betty was married to Robert Filler in Concordia, MO on June 19, 1949.  They later divorced and he preceded her in death.  Betty was a member of the New Horizon Presbyterian Church. Along with spending time with her family and friends, Betty enjoyed crossword and sudoku puzzles, yard work and reading.   

Betty is survived by one child, Ladonna Lynn Filler of Odessa, MO; one grandchild Brandon Charles Filler of Odessa, MO; one brother Jim Evert of Concordia, MO; and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. 

In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded by a child, Gayla Joyce Filler; and three siblings, Aleen Ziegelbein, Ray Evert, Neil Evert.
