Geraldine Lee Ellis

Geraldine Daisy Lee Ellis, 83, of Blue Springs, Missouri passed away on Sunday October 27, 2013 in Odessa, MO. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 1, 2013 at the Ralph O. Jones Funeral Home, 306 S. Second St., Odessa, MO, 64076, 816-633-5524 with Elmer Young officiating. Visitation will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Blue Springs Cemetery in Blue Springs, MO. Condolences for the family may be left at www.ralphojones.com. Gerry was born on October 7, 1930 in Stover, MO to Thomas and Anner Irene (Hibdon) Allen. She was united in marriage to Clarence Ellis in 1947. Gerry owned and operated Gerrys Family Restaurants from 1958 until her retirement in 2004. She owned several locations during that time. In addition to being an entrepreneur her hobbies included knitting and crocheting. She loved to make scarfs and blankets. Gerry also loved to go fishing. Survivors include a daughter, Judy Ann (Ellis) Perry of Odessa, MO; three grandchildren, Teresa Groves and husband James of Odessa, Tonya Wilson and husband Sam and Gary Perry and wife Amy; five great grandchildren, Lucy, Joey and Alex Wilson and Jacob and Sabrina Perry. In addition to her husband and parents, Gerry was preceded in death by a great grandson, Chandler Groves, a son in law, Richard Lee Perry, a brother, Samuel Allen and a sister Patricia Whittle.
