Betty Ann Hursman, 88, of Raytown, formerly of Lexington, passed away May 9, 2018 at her granddaughter, Anna's home. Funeral service will be Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at 3:00pm at Walker Nadler Fuller Funeral Home, Lexington. Visitation will also be on Wednesday at the funeral home from 2:00pm until 3:00pm. Burial will be in Lexington Memory Gardens. Memorials may be made to Royals Charities or Kansas City Hospice.
Betty was born June 2, 1929 in Higginsville, the daughter of Harold and Anna Frances (Kuchinski) Speas. She married Richard Calvin "RC" Hursman on January 30, 1948. He preceded her in death on September 7, 2006. Betty was a homemaker and an antique collector. She loved country music, crossword puzzles, crafting, painting and bowling. She was a huge Kansas City Royals fan and an amazing grandmother.
Betty is survived by her daughters, Pati Fenn and husband Dan of Kansas City and Susie Adams and husband Danny of Dover; former son in law, Kevin Kirk and wife Mary Jo; grandchildren, Monica Casey and husband Chris, Anna Adams and partner Keith Reining (deceased), Spring Robin Gaines and husband Danny, Jared Kirk, Amalee Adams, Autumn Ivy Nelson and husband Wade and Molly Adams; brother Earl Speas and wife Sarah; sister, Judy Frasher; beloved friends and caregivers, Andrea Wortman and Pat Brown; ten great grandchildren; and her best friend of 77 years, Nellie Logue.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and her sister, Wilma Nolte.
