Bernice “Bea” Irene (Glienke) Stompoly, 81, of Lexington, Missouri passed away on Tuesday, February 13, 2024, at home.
Rosary will be recited on Tuesday, February 20, 2024, at 5:30 p.m., at the Walker-Nadler-Fuller Funeral Home, 1720 S. St., Lexington, MO, 64067, 660-259-2245. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 20, 2024, at the Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 21, 2024, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 107 N. 18th St., Lexington, MO, 64067. Rite of Committal with Military Honors will follow in the Old Catholic Cemetery in Lexington, MO. Memorials are suggested to the Immaculate Conception Altar Society. Bea was born on December 1, 1942, in Austin, Minnesota to Gerhardt and Evelyn (Coulter) Glienke. She graduated in 1960 from Elkton K-12 High School in Minnesota. Bea then graduated from Wentworth Military Academy with honors in Lexington, MO. Bea was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. On March 31, 1962, Bea was united in marriage to Robert “Bob” Stompoly in Quantico, Virgina. She retired from Dunbrooke Sportswear after 20 plus years of service in the purchasing department. Bea was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, past Treasure and Vice-President of the Altar Society, and American Legion and Past Adjunct of the American Legion in Lexington. In addition to spending time with family and friends, Bea was an avid reader, loved traveling, and was a phenomenal cook.
Bea is survived by her husband of 61 years Robert Stompoly of Lexington, MO; two sons, Robert “Bobby” Stompoly and wife Cassandra of Destin, Florida and Joseph Stompoly of Lexington, MO; four grandchildren, Bradley Alexander Vincent Stompoly, Danielle Paige Victoria Stompoly, Caleb Matthew McKinney, and Levi Michael McKinney; two sisters, Betty Lou Wells of Owatonna, MN and Marty Lawson of Hector, MN; two brothers, Carl Glienke and wife Rosie of Owatonna, MN and Gary Glienke and wife Diane of Faribault, MN; and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Bea was preceded in death by her parents and her brother-in-law, Larry Wells.
