Berdina Mae Crowl, 86 of Odessa, Missouri left this world to be with her heavenly Father, while surrounded by family at her home on Tuesday, February, 24, 2015
The family will hold a private gathering to honor the life of their beloved wife, mother and grandmother at a later date.
Berdina was born on February 9, 1929 in Independence, MO to Lawrence and Gladys (Hendrickson) Miller. She graduated from William Chrisman High School in 1947. On October 15, 1948 she married Leonard Bernard Crowl, Jr. in Independence, MO. She retired from Western Electric after 20 plus years. Berdina and Leonard are members of the Odessa Restoration Branch. She and Leonard have lived much of their lives on a beautiful country ridge in rural Odessa. Berdina’s devotion to her children and grandchildren has been undeniable over the years. She has gave her family a selfless love that will never be lost or forgotten. Berdina enjoyed many aspects of her life. Memories of her children growing up on their farm, with all of the animals. As for her grandchildren, memories of their cookie making, four wheeler riding, their love for Reba McEntire and cooking spaghetti will always hold a special place in their hearts.
In addition to her husband Leonard, Berdina is survived by three children, Vickie Scribner and husband Steve of Holden, MO, Susan Burney and husband David of Odessa, MO and Wayne Crowl and wife Joyce of Odessa, MO; three grandchildren, Heather Burney, Charity Grapes and husband Mike and Rachel McClain and husband Kyle; six great grandchildren, Brandon and Andrea Brown, Jordan and Gabby Grapes, Amelia and Scarlet McClain; one great great grandchild, Tommy Lee Meyer; a brother, Lawrence Miller, Jr. .
In addition to her parents, Berdina was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Kerrick.
