Benny Daniel Albright

December 31, 1943 — January 15, 2024

Lexington, Missouri

Benny Daniel Albright, born December 31, 1943, went to his eternal rest January 15, 2024.

Our dear beloved Ben was a character of energetic living of life!

Born in Visalia, California to Edward Christian Albright and Betty Edra (Henderson) Albright, Ben grew up in the Denuba-Sultana California area.  He attended and graduated from Dinuba High School in 1962.

He married Joann Daly in 1964, and two children were born of that union.  The marriage ended in divorce.

In 1992 Ben married Sally Jean Hagins of Lathrop, Missouri.  His employer, General Motors, transferred him to their SPO facility in Everman, Texas.  He and Sally lived in Alverado, Texas until Ben was able to take early retirement in 1997, after 32 years with GM.  He and Sally moved to Lexington, Missouri in October 1997 and have lived there ever since.

Ben loved boating, water skiing and fishing.  Strangely, although he liked being out on the water, he never learned to swim!  He also enjoyed antique cars and still has the first one he ever owned, a 1928 Model A Roadster.  Ben always loved pets and has had many dogs throughout the years.  He ventured to miniature horses while living in Texas and brought Sassy, Baby and Andy to Lexington, Missouri when he and Sally moved there.  They died of old age as the years went by and are buried our on the property.  Ben developed a liking for John Deere lawn tractors and has at least four of them, some will run – some won’t…

Ben is survived by his wife, Sally Jean, of the home; his son, Steven and Sheila of Port Charlotte, Florida; his son, Tim and wife Candi; grandchildren, Kelsey and Tyler Koke, TJ Albright and Olivia Albright; great grandchildren, Theo and Kohen Koke, all of the Scottsbluff, Nebraska area; a stepson, Michael Hagins of Lathrop, Missouri; stepdaughter, Jodi Delana and husband Dave; and step granddaughter, Heather Delana, all of Warrensburg, Missouri; best friend of 50 years, Howard Towell and wife Liz of Bethany, Missouri.

Ben’s wishes are to be cremated and his ashes buried at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Lexington, Missouri.

A family and friends “Saying Goodbye Gathering” will be held sometime this Spring.

He will be missed.
