Belinda Kay Phillips, 63, of Odessa, Missouri passed away on Monday, April 14, 2014 at the Kansas City Hospice House in Kansas City, MO surrounded by family.
Belinda was born on February 26, 1951 in Kansas City, MO to Paul Edward and Marcella Celia (Robinson) Phillips. She was a 1969 graduate of Truman High School in Independence, MO. She received her Bachelors of Science degree from Friends University. Belinda served 40 years in the medical field and retired as a Certified Orthotist. Belinda worked for 21 years in Orthopedics and 19 in Orthotics. She is a member of First Baptist Raytown and was very active in the church choir. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, watching soccer, working on arts & crafts and gardening.
In addition to her father, Belinda is survived by two children, Paula Nowak and husband Roger of Odessa, MO and Matthew Tuttle and wife Chandra of Odessa, MO; two grandchildren, Alannah and Rylan Nowak of Odessa, MO; and a brother Paul Alan Phillips of Tampa, Florida.
Belinda was preceded in death by her mother.
Per Belinda’s request her body was donated to the University Of Kansas Medical School for research.
