Barbara Maxine Sarah Ella Myers Butler, 86, of Lexington, MO, passed away Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at Oak Pointe Nursing Home, Richmond, MO. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, April 30, 2017 at Walker Nadler Fuller Funeral Home, Lexington. Visitation will also be Sunday, at the Funeral Home from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Burial will be at Machpelah Cemetery, Lexington. Memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Research.
Barbara was born November 18, 1930 in Lexington to George H. and Eunice McQuillan Myers. On October 18,1947, she married W.A. Butler in Lexington. After 59 years of marriage, he preceded her in death on May, 25, 2007. She retired as an underwriter for Farmers Insurance and then moved back to Lexington.
Barbara is survived by her children, Linda Neer and husband John of Macon, MO, Gary Butler and wife Harriet of Richmond, Rick Butler and wife Debbie of Parsons, KS, Barbe Barr and husband Stan of Richmond, Tina Stidham and husband Keith of Pleasant Hill and Bill Butler of Kansas City; sisters, Helen Pemberton, Eunice Thompson, Sally Holman and Judie Smith, all of Lexington; friend, Meredith Stephenson; 13 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; brothers, Charles Myers and George Myers; sisters, Bonnie Cretzmeyer and Dorothy Jones; and grandson, David Gardenhire.
