Aubrey Lee Major, 75 of Odessa, Missouri passed away on Tuesday, November 10, 2015 at the Golden Living Center in Odessa, MO.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, November 15, 2015 at the Ralph O. Jones Funeral Home, 306 S. 2nd St., Odessa, MO, 64076, 816-633-5524 with Reverend David Howie officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior from 1:00 p.m. until the service on Sunday. Burial with military rites will be in the Pleasant Prairie Cemetery, rural Lafayette County. Aubrey was born on July 20, 1940 in Napoleon, MO to Allen Lee and Amanda Violetta (Murry) Major. He graduated from Odessa High School in 1957. After graduation he attended the University of Missouri in Columbia, MO where he earned his Bachelors of Science Degree in Agriculture Education. Aubrey was a member of the First Baptist Church in Odessa. He started managing a farm supply co-op in Odessa until moving to Kansas to manage a co-op. In 1981 Aubrey moved back to Odessa returning to the co-op and on June 30, 2005 he retired. In addition to spending time with family and friends, his hobbies were fishing, riding a motorcycle, raising farm animals and traveling. Aubrey had the chance to tour much of Alaska in 2005 after his retirement.

Survivors include a brother, John and Maxine Major of Oak Grove, MO; five sisters, Leanna and Elmer Smith of Laverne, California, Rose and Jerry O’Dell of Springfield, MO, Wanda Thomas of Odessa, MO, Barbara and Jack Robinson of Clever, MO and Roxie and Richard Williams of Richmond, MO; and many nieces and nephews.

Aubrey was preceded in death by his parents and a sister and brother-in-law, Mary and George Nash.
