Pearl Russell, 99, of Richmond, MO formerly of Lexington, MO passed away at Meyer Care Center, Wednesday, July 22, 2015. Pearl Nevels was born August 28, 1915 in McComb, MO, the daughter of George and Thurza Findley Nevels. She married Vernon F. Russell in Needles, CA. Pearl was a nurses aide at Lexington Memorial Hospital for more than twenty years, in the labor and delivery department. She was a member of the Lexington First Baptist Church. Pearl is survived by daughters: Sharon Forsha (Rick), Richmond, MO and Gail Colburn (Walter), Lees Summit, MO. A sister, Kathleen Perry, Richmond, MO. There are 9 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, a son, Melvin R. Russell, her parents, 8 brothers, and 4 sisters. Services will be 2 p.m., Saturday, July 25, 2015 at the First Baptist Church of Lexington. Burial in Lexington Memory Gardens. Visitation from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday, at the church. Memorials may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
