MAXINE THOMPSON

Maxine Thompson, 88, of Lexington, MO passed away at the Ray County Memorial Hospital on Sunday, March 27, 2016. Services will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday, March 31, 2016 at the Lexington First Baptist Church. Burial will be in Lexington Memory Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until service time Thursday at the church. In lieu of flowers Memorials can be made to the Community Health Foundation or the First Baptist Church of Lexington.

Antoinette Maxine Thompson was born July 23, 1927 in Lexington, the daughter of John Rostine, Sr. and Minnie Pessetto Rostine. She married Ranie Thompson in October, 1946. Maxine was a member of the Lexington First Baptist Church and worked 20 years as a sales clerk at Vincent Shoe Store in Lexington.

Maxine is survived by her sons: Larry Thompson, Warsaw, MO and Terry Thompson and wife, Marcia, Lexington. A sister, Mary McCoy, Liberty. Two sisters-in-law, Dorothy Rostine, Cameron and Wilma Rostine, Warsaw. She has five grandchildren: Craig, Chad, Kristen, Charity, and Austin. There are 8 great-grandchildren. Maxine was preceded in death by her husband, Ranie, in 2001, and brothers, John Rostine, Jr., Dominic Rostine, Barney Rostine, and Robert Rostine and a daughter-in-law, Jill Thompson.
