ANNE CAROL MITCHELL SELLERS
Anne Carol Mitchell Sellers, 81, of Napoleon, MO passed away on Saturday, January 9, 2016 at Brookdale at Rosehill in Shawnee, KS. Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Thursday, January 14, 2016 at the Napoleon Methodist Church. Burial in St. Paul Cemetery, Napoleon. Visitation will be from 10 until service time at the Church. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Visiting Nurse Association, Odessa or St. Paul Cemetery Fund.
Anne Carol Mitchell was born March 20, 1934 in Scunthorpe, Lincolnshire, England, the daughter of Angus Cameron Mitchell and Winifred Margaret Beck Mitchell. Anne married Harold Lloyd Sellers on April 17, 1956 in Bagley, Iowa.
Anne was a member of St. Paul Church in Napoleon, however, was currently attending the United Methodist Church of Napoleon. She retired after working 30 years in the dental office of Dr. W.L. Smith, and his predecessor Dr. Jeffrey Johnson in Lexington. For 12 years after retirement Anne co-managed the Phoenix Restaurant at Lake Paradise with her husband, Harold. Anne loved traveling, her favorite was, to Del Rio, TX, gardening, knitting, and especially fishing with Harold at Lake Paradise.
Anne was preceded in death by Harold, her husband of 54 years, and her parents. She is survived by 3 children, John (Shirley) Wellington, MO; Julie (Mark), Bellevue, MI; and Peter (Scott) Kansas City, MO. Also grandchildren Michele, Michael, Jenny, Sam, Zach, Jill, Tucker and great-granddaughter, Athena. Also surviving is brother John (Daphne) Mitchell, Swanage England; along with many nieces, nephews, and many wonderful friends, especially Mary and Calvin Kirckhoff.
