ANNA BELLE MASCHMEIER

Anna Belle Maschmeier, 96, of Lexington, MO passed away Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at Riverbend Heights Health & Rehabilitation. Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, September 22, 2016 at the Walker-Nadler-Fuller Funeral Home, Lexington. Burial will be in Lexington Memory Gardens. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Thursday. Memorials can be made to the American Disabled Veterans.

Anna Belle Hughes was born May 10, 1920, the daughter of John David Hughes and Mable Hieple Hughes. She married John H. Leach and after his death she married Elroy Maschmeier, who also preceded her in death. Anna Belle worked at the Odessa Shoe Factory and later at the Higginsville Habilitation Center.

Anna Belle is survived by: sons, Jerry Leach and wife, Betty, of Lexington and Jim Leach and Sally Newman of Wellington. Daughters: Shirley A. Todd, Littleton, CO and Joyce D. Westerman and husband, Bill, Lathrop, MO. A half-sister, Verna Westerhold, Concordia, Mo. There are nine grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by her parents, a son-in-law, Paul Todd, brothers, Junie Hughes and Bill Hughes, a sister, Lettie Joy, and a half-brother, Edgar Burge.
