Anita (Renick) Martin, 61 of Franklin, MO formerly of Odessa, MO passed away on Sunday, November 8, 2015 at the University Of Missouri Hospital in Columbia, MO.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, November 14, 2015 at the Ralph O. Jones Funeral Home, 306 S. 2nd St., Odessa, MO, 64076, 816-633-5524. Visitation will be Friday, November 13, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Cumberland Presbyterian Cemetery at Columbus, MO. Anita was born on April 19, 1954 in Harrison, Arkansas to Robert Homer and Loretta (Woods) Bryan. She graduated from Oak Grove High School in 1972. Before retirement she worked most of her life as a Medical Assistant. On February 20, 1973 she married James Terry Renick and later divorced. On July 24, 1999 she married Brian Lane on July 24, 1999 in Columbus, MO. She was a member of the LDS Fayette Branch. Anita was the Past President of the Odessa Parks and Recreation Board. In addition to spending time with her family she enjoyed, gardening, crocheting, antiquing, quilting, and going to the lake.
In addition to her husband Brian, Anita is survived by six children, Jennifer Murawski and husband Scott of Merriam, Kansas, Tera Downs and husband Chris of Grain Valley, MO, Christy Sanders and husband Charles of Prairie Village, KS, Melissa Cote of Independence, MO, David Martin and fiancé Juel Madden of Warrensburg, MO and Andrea Mereda and husband Michael of Independence, MO; 16 grandchildren; one brother, Tim Gilley of Harrison, Arkansas; and many nieces and nephews.
Anita was preceded in death by her parents.
