William "Bill" L. McEwen, 75, of Odessa, Missouri passed away on Thursday, August 1, 2013. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 6, 2013 at the Ralph O. Jones Funeral Home, 306 S. Second St., Odessa, MO, 64076, 816-633-5524. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Odessa City Cemetery. www.ralphojones.com. Bill was born on November 25, 1937 in Lafayette County to Elmore and Anna Marie (DeLay) McEwen. He graduated from Odessa High School in 1955. Bill was a veteran of the United States Army. He retired from Lucent Technologies formerly Western Electric as a Computer Technician. Bill was a Reserve Police Officer for forty plus years in the city of Odessa. He was a member of the Odessa Historical Society. His hobbies included model railroads, HAM radios and photography. Bill is survived by a son, Dustin McEwen and wife Cheri of Richmond Michigan; a granddaughter, Daryan McEwen, of Richmond, MI; two brothers, Jim McEwen and wife Carmen of Fulton, MO and Don McEwen and wife Linda of Lees Summit, MO; and many nieces and nephews. Bill was preceded in death by his parents.
