Alton Carl Westerman

Alton Carl Westerman, Jr., 83 of Lexington, Missouri passed away on Monday, March 11, 2024, at Meyer Care Center in Higginsville, MO surrounded by family.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Saturday, March 23, 2024, at Walker-Nadler-Fuller Funeral Home, 1720 South Street, Lexington, MO, 64067, 660-259-2245.  A Celebration of Life will follow at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, March 23, 2024, at the funeral home.  Memorials are suggested to Shriners Hospitals for Children.  Memories of Jr. and condolences for his family may be left at www.LedfordFamilyFH.com or on our Facebook Page.  

Jr. was born on October 29, 1940, in Wellington, MO to Alton Carl Westerman, Sr. and Bertha Elizabeth (Skold) Westerman.   He graduated from Wellington High School in 1959.  On June 29, 1968, Jr. was united marriage to Linda Joyce Love in Richmond, MO.  Jr. retired in 2005 after 40 years of service from Lake City Ammunition Plant.  He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Lexington.  In addition to spending time with family and friends, Jr. enjoyed leather work, jigsaw puzzles, and coaching little league for his children.   

Jr. is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Joyce Westerman of Lexington, MO;   three children, Eric Wayne (Jennifer) Westerman of Independence, MO, Troy Dale (Laura) Westerman of Lebanon, MO, and Tammy Lynn (Jeremy) Ratliff of Lexington, MO; eight grandchildren, Allison Timko, Ashley Miller, Andrew Westerman, Jessica Westerman, Anthony Westerman, Emily Westerman, Levi Ratliff, and Luke Ratliff; five great-grandchildren, Aden, Brantley, Caysen, Dani, and Hudson; and many relatives and friends.  

In addition to his parents, Jr. was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Mercy Elizabeth Ratliff; and two sisters, Joan Patton, and Judy Klotz.
