Alice May (Campbell) Wade, 88, of Warrensburg, Missouri passed away on Sunday, May 4, 2014 at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Blue Springs, MO.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 7, 2014 at the Ralph O. Jones Funeral Home, 306 S. Second St., Odessa, MO, 64076, 816-633-5524 with Reverend Terry Hodges officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Odessa City Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Mt. Tabor Methodist Church. Alice was born on August 13, 1925 in rural Odessa, MO to Albert M. and Bessie May (Giliand) Campbell. She attended Wagon Knob School in rural Odessa. On August 17, 1956 she was united in marriage to Mark P. Wade in Higginsville, MO. After 35years as a Telephone Operator, working in Oak Grove, Lexington and Warrensburg, she retired from United Telephone now known as Century Link. Previous to working there she worked at the Odessa Tie Factory and the Odessa Shoe Factory. She was a member of the Mt. Tabor Methodist Church. She loved going to country music festivals, work books and spending time with her family and friends.
Survivors include two sister in laws, Betty Campbell of Odessa, MO and May Wade of Warrensburg, MO; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Alice was preceded in death by three brothers, Noel, Kenneth and Tom Campbell; two sisters, Marie Hyatt and twin sister Jennie Clemmons.
