Albert "Jerry" Abbott

Jerry Abbott, 69, of Lexington, MO passed away Sunday, October 9, 2011 at his home. Jerry was born February 14, 1942 in Lexington, the son of Albert W. and Lela Kathryn McCorkindale Abbott. He married Dina Slusher in 1965. She preceded him in death. Mr. Abbott had worked at Fike Corporation as a tool and die worker for 32 years. He was a Presbyterian. He is survived by a daughter, Lori Hollingsworth and her husband, Larry, of Lexington. A step-son, Dwayne Reynolds, of Lexington. Three grandchildren: Guy Walker, Steele Locke and Hana Locke; Two great-grandchildren: Lucas Walker and Kadin Alumbaugh. A sister, Lois Wood, of Lexington . In addition to his wife he was preceded in death by two brothers, Irvin Lee Abbott and J.C. McCorkindale and three sisters: Lorene Frizzell, Shirley Davis, and Catherine Lorantos. Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, October 14, 2011 at Machpelah Cemetery. Burial in Machpelah Cemetery. Visitation from 7 to 8 p.m., Thursday, October 13 at the Walker-Nadler-Fuller Funeral Home in Lexington. Memorials may be made to the family.
