Adela L. Wilson, 77, of Odessa, MO. passed away on Saturday, May 19, 2018 at St. Mary’s Medical Center, Blue Springs, MO.
Funeral services for Adela will be held on Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at 1:30 pm at the Ralph O. Jones Funeral Home, Odessa, MO. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at the funeral home from 6 to 8 pm. Burial will be at the Missouri Veterans State Cemetery in Higginsville, MO at 3 pm.
Adela Lee Hurst was born on November 11, 1940 in Flippin, AR. To Rev. Francis Marion Hurst and wife Vina LaRue Due Hurst. She married Dan Wilson on September 1, 1962 in Flippin, AR. Adela had worked for the IRS until her retirement in 2003. She also was an Avon representative in Odessa. Adela was a member of the Flippin Assembly of God Church. Adela was an avid quilter, crocheter, seamstress and loved to paint and draw.
Survivors include her husband, Dan of the home. A son, Travis Wilson, Odessa and a daughter, Aimee Batson and partner, Shari Center, Overland Park, Kansas. Also surviving is a sister, Elaine Slavings and husband, Alvin of Flippin, AR, and several nieces and nephews. Adela was preceded in death by her parents.
